A microgreen is the version of a plant you almost never see — the ten-day-old sprout, harvested with its cotyledons just fully open, before it has any interest in becoming a full vegetable. In that brief window it packs an unreasonable concentration of what the mature plant will eventually offer: research from the USDA and others puts the nutrient density at roughly thirty times that of the same species grown to maturity, particularly for vitamin C, vitamin K, and polyphenols.

This shelf runs entirely on pre-order because there is no honest way to sell truly fresh microgreens off a shelf. Every tray is grown to your order by NUTRIRISHI, our microgreens partner in Bengaluru, in a controlled indoor space using organic seed and coco-peat. The grow cycle is short — seven to ten days depending on the variety. Sunflower and pea are quick and sweet; broccoli and radish take a day longer and carry more heat; wheatgrass and beet greens are the slowest and the most intense. You place the order, we harvest the day before delivery, and it lands at your door still rooted in its tray.

That means the shelves are consistent in a way that outdoor farming can't match, and the flavour stays predictable across seasons.
